Once you start selling with them you sometimes get free listing promotions but to start with you have to pay the fee

jokes aside guys i think you can get 40 free listings if a friend of you shares his referral link with you and you create your shop right away

20 cents for 3 months,you can earn free listings if you refer someone to Etsy and that some one actually open a store.
If an item is sold,besides the FVF,there is the credit card processing fee,add it altogether it aint cheap.
They used to bill you at end of the month for the FVF and listing fee,now they take it right out of the payment,I guess some shops are not paying their fee.

Would you rather list for free and pay a 13% FVF? Or pay a measly 20 cent listing fee for a 3% FVF?

listing fee 20 cents per listing for 3 months
FVF 5%
processing fee for USA
25 cents plus 3 %.

Amazon fees are 15% so etsy is still cheap even thought yeah it cost money to make money :)
