Etsy shop question
 

Hi,

So, I got kicked off Etsy for intellectual infringement.
So, I created a website to avoid any issues. But I wanted to get on Etsy too, but obviously I can’t do this with the same business name or any of the same info or pictures.

So my website name is the same name as my old Etsy shop, enchanted cutters.
They have the pictures I had on my old Etsy shop and the ones that is in the new Etsy shop.

The new Etsy shop is under a different name, with different social etc etc, and none of the old pictures from the shop to avoid Etsy picture detection.

But the new pictures on my website are on the Etsy shop too. I haven’t had issues, but now a competitor bought from my website and Etsy store, and i feel like she is doing this to report me to Etsy.

Would Etsy go as far as looking on my website or look into a user reporting me sharing my website and store to show we are the same?

The pictures may be the same but our info is different and I have said I buy my clipart from this user so it looks like they have nothing to do with it.

My store has none of my old Etsy info. The only thing that links the website and the store is the same pictures. But like I said none of the old Etsy pictures are used on the new Etsy store.


So only question is can a store report you for this and does Etsy go that far into looking into things outside of Etsy?

Ha , sorry.

So overall,

My shop got kicked off for good.

I made a website with old Etsy photos and new Ones I have on my new shop.


Since I wasn’t getting as much business on the website I opened a new stealth Etsy shop.

My issue is my website is named the same thing as my old Etsy shop.

This website has old Etsy pictures and the new photos I am using on my new Etsy shop.

So, my question is, the new Etsy shop only has new photos on it, but if someone wanted to report me and tell Etsy to look at my website and compare it to my new Etsy shop. They could put two and two together I am sure.


Is this enough to kick my new store off even though I am using new everything for info?

I agree, but this person “competitor” bought something from my new Etsy store and website. The two cheapest things too.

I’ve heard of them before and heard they were assholes. So now I’m thinking they are going to come after me.

So I wasn’t sure if they could report me to Etsy with an email with my website and Etsy store

They can report about you no matter do you have a site or not.

I get they can report you no matter what. I was just wondering would Etsy look into a report that has them looking at other websites.

Or

Does Etsy really just care what goes on Etsy.

I know that in terms of intellectual property Etsy doesn’t care unless the actually company reports it to them and then legally they have to intervene.

But since the person who would be reporting saying that I could be a past store that Etsy has kicked off, can only link me from me having the same clipart from a website that my old store had.

I figured I can say I bought the clipart from the old Etsy store or hopefully Etsy, would say, this person doesn’t have an Etsy, they have a website that we cannot control. Even though this new store has clipart from this site, it does not have the same clipart that the store has, so we cannot connect the two since the new store is under different ownership and may buy the clipart.

I think he means just have a lot of stealth accounts so if you get shutdown you just move on and dont waste time overthinking what competitor bitches report you..
