Supplier Giving Me Competition
 

I am selling on etsy, then notice another seller pop up selling my items, I sent them an email asking them why they are copying my items, they said they have just as much right to sell them as I do, and they were contacted by the supplier who recommended to them that they sell on etsy.

I contacted my supplier and they said there is nothing they can do as it does not go against their selling policies.

Competition happens in business and is not illegal.

I can see why you are annoyed but it's not illegal. It's good to have healthy competition. I would assume as you have been selling longer than they have you should already have an edge and know more than them on the subject. Relay that across to your customers for more sales.

In the high risk electronics business I buy and sell in there are hundreds of others that sell the same items ... but I can still get away with selling at a higher price because when a buyer contacts me I convince them to spend their money with me as I know the devices inside and out. Nobody can copy or steal your knowledge and experience ...

Yeah, it is healthy and drives me to be more competitive.

You cant stop them from selling what you sell,there could be a dozen more doing so on Ebay,AMZN and God knows where.
if they are copying your pictures,you can report them to the venue,other wise most sellers would lower their price to get sales,it is called RACE TO THE BOTTOM
