What information do they get when running your card during shop setup?

I have previously used generic visa gift cards with stealth name/address for new shops.

Does this still work? or is VCC now required for Etsy?

Any credit card youd run will only give them info relating to that particular card.
If theyre running AVS then the address the card is registered to will need to match the address they have for the account.
They will not be able to see the name of the card holder.
And of course they'll be able to see the BIN number of the credit cards and by that tell what bank is issuing it and whether it is a prepaid or a card belonging to a real bank. This means they can blacklist any given type of card if they so choose.
That's pretty much standard.

I've used an Avs Vcc under spain address but the card was issued from usa bank i'm not sure if this is the reason i got banned or the vpn!

Does anyone know if Et$y is currently running AVS? or actively blacklisting prepaid gift cards? If they are running AVS it should trigger something when adding the card and not a week later when making a sale, right?

Tried this today and it told me there was a problem with the card, so maybe they are running AVS

I used a registered gift card...I’ve been purchasing things on Etsy with it no problem yet
