Etsy suspended/banned and they still have funds
 

I had my selling account suspended back in April. I was accused of copyright infringement although I had proof of where I purchased a design and this designer was also accused. Etsy suspended me and not her. So in the meantime I am going about creating my own website and went to Amazon Handmade. No issues or problems except sales are non existing on website and few on Amazon. I go go buy something on Etsy and I am told my buying privileges are now suspended. Apparently someone tried to open up an Etsy store with a similar name to my old shop. Not me, but they said it was too similar there I am suspended. I don't buy much on there so ok whatever. Now I am due to get my money that was the balance left in my seller account this past week. I call to find out why is has not been deposited and I am told that I am not to contact Etsy again in any way call or email and get hung up on. I have my husband call and they do the same thing to him. This is crazy. I have not done any of the things I am being credited for here and yet I am being penalized severely. Will I ever see those funds or is it all loss?

I was banned in July and just received my money this week. My other banned shop took a lot longer about 9 months. I think it depends on how much money is in the account and how many open orders you have at the time you get banned.

I am so frustrated with Etsy as well. They banned my shop 10 days ago and holding $7000. There is no open orders all parcels delivered.
They just ignoring all my emails and calls, I am so frustrated and not sure what to do, and where to complain.
The only email I got from them they said they close my shop and hold my money, no time frame!
Not sure where I can complain and who I can talk with

what did you do wrong?
it is not good enough that the order has been delivered,chargeback can come within 180 days

Nothing wrong, just having one nasty customer. She demanded refund and keep the goods, firstly Etsy was on my side and asked her return it before they issued refund. 2 days later they changed their mind, gave her refund and closed my account. No explanation, no reply to my emails. All my calls was advised to send them emails((
Most frustrating my customers are asking me back and I really need this money, it’s not $100

How long did you set your disbursement’s for? With my new shop I set it to everyday to avoid having my money on lockdown if it happens again.

I set it for every two weeks((. Everything was running fine till September
Learn my lesson, never will do it again. But how to get this money now and when they are going to release them, I don't know((
I send them email telling I will lodge complain to Consumer protection bureau, but no reply. I am fully ignored

I called their customer service just a few days ago and spoke to a live person,probably a subcontractor who works from home.
I dont understand why when you call,they asked you to send email?
what is the item?
if it is counterfeit or knockoff,buyer does not have to return the item,he would be asked to destroy the item

Do you know where I can lodge a complain about Etsy?
Several emails, no respond, they are totally ignored and they hold $7000

I am in Australia and not sure where I can to complain in USA

You said a buyer filed a dispute,Etsy sided with you and ask her to return the item.
Then Etsy sided with buyer and she does not have to return the item.
Did she go to her cc issuer and file a charegback after she lost the Etsy dispute?
if she can prove it is counterfeit,Etsy could hold on to your fund forever ,

I was banned in August 2018 in the US and received my money on February 2019. it was just $500 but I had several open orders. When I called Etsy that time, they told me that they will return the money after 3 months after the last order was delivered. It tooks more time.... But the same day the account was banned, the system show that the money will be deposited on Feb.

180 days,chargeback can come in 180 days,sometimes more

Highly doubt you got banned from one customer complaint, you must of had a history.
