New Etsy deactivated
 

I've created multiple etsy stealths in the past that all opened with no problems - I took a break from etsy and now I opened another shop to sell again and listed one handmade item for sale and left it for a couple of days and I've just went back to check on it and its gone and when I try log in it says 'this account has been deactivated', I've had no emails from etsy.

I know etsy seem to be cracking down on this, but I did everything I used to do to create a stealth and it hasn't worked this time around. Have they changed their rules, is there something I'm missing here?

I really need etsy as a source of my income. Any other ideas?

The only thing I did differently this time is used mobile phone tethering (hotspot) to make the account rather than a VPN which I would normally use. Etsy no longer let you even create an account if you are using a VPN - the page just doesn't respond.

If your IP is blacklisted for some reason in past than its very difficult to create shop on that IP I tried with Amazon AWS VPS and work fine

He said that he used mobile phone tethering so IP is not the same. You added same products like in previous suspended shop ?

Yes, new IP with phone tethering. And completely new product, I only added 1 to begin with as well so im not sure what I have done.

Bank info was different ? Cookies was cleaned ?

Yes everything was new. Has anyone made an account in the last couple months successfully? I wonder if they have new measures in place

last month i have opened 4 etsy stores everything works just do everything right!
I think it has become easier than a couple of years ago!
You just need to experiment until you find the right one!

Are you opening direct checkout stores or PayPal? and what are you using for fresh IP? Dongle, VPN?...

So after my account was removed I emailed etsy to ask why my etsy was deleted and they just responded 2 days later apologising and saying it was a mistake? So not sure if something was flagged and they just deleted it without checking or if it was just a genuine mistake..

Did you make sales! usually the hammer comes after the first sells.

Etsy does not care when you open a store,only when you start making sales,then it checks.

This isn't necessarily true, a lot of people are taken down before their first sale. It just depends really. But yes once you've made your first sale and its processed and went though fine you are usually ok as long as you follow the rules.

No, you have to put your real address that matches your bank account in this part which is checked by a 3rd party service to make sure it matches but etsy can't see this info ( a lot of people don't realise this ).

However, I never claimed to be an etsy stealth guru, but I figured out a way to get back on to etsy using direct checkout which worked for me and many others. No idea what your problem is, but this forum would be a lot better with out bitter people like yourself! this forum is for helping others.
