New Etsy Account, New Items?
 

Hey guys, I just opened a new account. Before I post items for sale I want to know if I have to sell new items completely or if I can just change up images and sell the same items? I tried to find as much info and it seems to be that some do just change up their mockups and change description a bit. however, I just want to be on the safe side.

Edit*** I'm asking because one of the shops I had before being shut down was digital designs, I had over 200 designs on it and really don't want to not sell them on Etsy but I also don't want to get shut down again. However, I also want to know about physical products.

Its always risky to sell digital items, new backgrounds on your images would be enough or use a batchpurifier to remove all data from your images and use a re-sizer to re size them.

Batchpurifier is a nice program to remove the metadata - exifgif as well OP

thanks guys... I think I will start with new items and then later if this one doesn't get discovered I will make another one.

It's better if you use new images or if you can edit them on your design software like changing colors, fonts and then put a different background, avoid just using the same designs by changing just the backgrounds it will get you linked and suspended.
Yeah it will take you time but it's better than risking your account.

Well etsy allows digital items as long as they are not copyrighted.

they aren't copyrighted items, unfortunately, my account got shut down because it was linked to another account that I'm thinking was reported by my competition multiple times. I tried everything to make specific customers happy and provided all evidence where I did everything right and they were still not happy.

Can I ask if you used a vpn to open this new account? I've been unable to register at all, so I was wondering if the VPN was an issue or something else.
