Unique Trademark Claim (Must Read)
 

Okay, so normally I wouldn't say must read in the title but this was a strange trademark report.

For starters the company IP LASSO reported my listings. Seems to be a automated reporting company that just reports listings on behalf of clients.

Where this becomes a problem is they reported two listings saying I was using a celebrity name that is "trademarked". Problem is the listings they reported referencing the trademark was of a completely different person.

It would be as if someone filed a trademark claim for Oprah Winfrey but the person was Michael Jackson. The trademark claim said as following,

Trademark Type: words & design
Trademark Established: N/A
Use of Trademark: See Basis for Information

100% automated junk. The reference they used was trademark of a different celebrity. And so I know 99.9% of the time these don't EVER get removed, but I contacted Etsy...don't you think this type of report, strikes and all get justly be removed from my account?

No it’s not true. I know what I listed and they report trademark of a completely different person. Not how trademark works. It’s like saying you could flag Michael Jordan trademark for using a Kobe Bryant photo, makes no sense.

It’s okay though, gives me more reason to have zero remorse for bypassing their bull**** system.
