Slow etsy sales?
 

Just wondering how everyones etsy sales are doing? Just created a new account and they have been slower than normal. Normally I would be getting at least 5-10 a day in the beginning with a new account selling this type of thing and I'm only getting about 1 sale a day. It has only been a few days but just wondering has etsy changed anything with algorithms or anything? A lot of my customers used to be US based so I'm wondering if I'm not showing up in the USA search results or something..

Do you have your older account that you are selling on to compare to?

Just this new one. I just read an article that apparently etsy are only showing US customers US sellers? and putting everyone else way down the search results meaning sellers outside of the US are getting little to no US sales. USA was where most of my orders came from. Not sure if this is accurate?

Any UK etsy sellers on here? Hoping people are still selling with success outside of the US?

It could also just be down to it being a new account and it being January which is usually quite slow in sales anyways.

Etsy has been urging sellers to offer free shipping,many just rolled shipping cost into asking price or just eat less!
So if you are overseas,you are at a disadvantage selling to US buyers.

I offer free domestic shipping and it came up on my etsy asking if I want to offer free overseas shipping on orders over $35 so Ive included that too.

But also in the past I've never offered free overseas shipping and it didn't stop me getting sales from the US etc. Just wasn't sure if etsy have changed other things. Will give it more time and see if it improves.

Sales were picking up but they suspended a good account recently so hard to tell.

In US,overseas USPS first class is more than $13 if you want tracking ,so we cant afford to offer free shipping for $35 order or any order

How many warnings do they issue before suspending?

Depends on the warning type and times on set of time. Infringements, usually 2-3 in less than 12 months.

Sales are good on 2 accounts at the mo, USA orders coming through, and I charge shipping.

I put a handful of items back on Etsy and they seem to be selling well..
