Can Etsy see where I am if I use a tablet?
 

After lots of reading and lots of thinking I am nearly ready to try a new stealth account.

I am going to use a new tablet. The account will be set up about 300 miles from where I live but I am going to need to use the tablet at home - I will not be using WiFi or tethering but I intend to use a PAYG sim card

My problem is this - my new account will be set up by a relative 'down south' so will Etsy be able to see that the tablet sits 300 miles away 'up north'?

Yes they can see where you are. Does it matter...no....when I first started I opened a shop in another country...it’s still open and I checked the login data shows USA.

it will go by the address you give them

So they will think I live whichever address I put in regardless if I sign in at a friend's house?
