Hiring to open a new shop
 

I had an Etsy shop for years, THOUSANDS of 5 star reviews. Was making 6 figures selling only on etsy. And then my shop was removed for using the word “onesie” because I had no idea it was trademarked.
We have since opened our own website- and it’s doing ok, but it’s been expensive to get up and running.

I want to get back on Etsy. And my mom offered to let me use her SSN to open a new account (I know I need to get a new bank account- new photos- new email- and new IP address) but how would that work for taxes?

Has anyone else done this? I offered to pay my mom like 10% of my sales for putting it in her name. But how would that work? Would it? Thoughts? Opinions? Anything else I should be considering?

U don’t need to use ur moms name or bank account open a account at Wells Fargo with YOUR OWN NAME...they allow mismatched deposits..

Or you could open a new business and file the taxes under that business name, and open a business bank account under that business

I was about to pull out and dust up my old CV.
