Selling Shoes on Etys

Hi, anyone have any success with selling name brand shoes/boots on Etys? I have a ton of Genuine Branded Vintage / Used Shoes / Boots . Im thinking about selling on Etys.

I don't think it would work out very well since Etsy is for custom handmade items and they've been cracking down on sellers who aren't selling those kind of items.

designer boots sell well on Ebay,so why not Etsy>

Etsy is more than handmade,vintage and antique items are fine too.

i HAVE NO Idea why rep said that,eTSY has branched into vintage and antiques years ago,I for one do not make one damn thing,I sell vintage and antique stuffs on ETSY.
When you list on Etsy,it will ask you age of the items,1980s,1970s,bla bla.
Take a look,people sell old perfume bottles,carvings ,jewelry etc.
But with designer boots,I think you get better prices on Ebay due to the sheer number of people buying boots

Etsy welcomes first time seller,as long as it is not a stealth account,why not list a few of your boots and see what happens.
Etsy customer service is subpar,the rep you talk to could be a stay at home mom.
just go ahead and list.
Etsy is now promoting off site ads,meaning they will advertise your items on FB,Google etc and if sold,you pay a fee 10-12% ,plus the regular Etsy final value fee and processing fee .

if you mean TOP rated plus sellers get 10% discount ?
NO.
But I am sure Etsy keeps track of our performance,even down to how soon we respond to email inquiry,fullfilling and shipping the orders.
i notice with my shop,Etsy has a message which said this seller usually responds in a few hours or something like that??

Etsy is strict on handmade items,if an item is handmade but made by someone else ,not you or someone who work for you,then you cannot sell it as handmade.

well the rep I had a chat with said you would have produced the product. Im fed up with arguing with reps who dont make enough to care about the wellbeing of sellers.

As I look around etys more, I see sellers selling the exact type of product that I have. Im not sure if I was chatting to the right person or not, maybe he/she didnt know what the hell they were talking about, seem like alot of copy and pasting was being done in the chat session.But the exact item I want to sell on etys looks like it sells well with sellers getting good reviews. Its the exact same product that I have, im thinking about just signing up and getting on with it. I have no idea about Etys policy though for first time sellers, like the do and donts. ie selling high risk items starting off
