Suspended Etsy Etsy account again 😔😔😔
 

Hi! Some weeks ago my Etsy shop was suspended.

I tried to create a new shop
- New Ip (I changed provider)
- New Laptop
- New email
- New PayPal(I live in Latin America)
- New Credit Card

On my first accountI think my mistake was typing my second name and last name. I made some variations to my current address but it doesn't work 🙄

Can Etsy see the name and address of the credit card? Yesterday I tried to open a shop with another credit card. Instead of my name I typed the shop's name but doesn't work again. This shop was suspended in 12 hours

Marimazing Sorry to hear about that, I am more or less have the same situation as yours right now. Please don't creat shop any more before you figure out what was going wrong. E tsy will shut it down for sure. Btw are you using "direct check out" in your country?

New credit card with the same IBAN number ?

They can see post code, city, country which has to match whit your provided info to Etsy. I mean they don`t see it the system checks it

Also new photos cant use the same pictures, you can sell the same product but with new pictures

Thank you! I sell digital files. I created a new listing and different design.
About the IBAN it si something new to me lol.. not sure about that, but the credit cards were of different banks.

Here my question guys. I think it is similar to the OP's question.

I opened a new account at Wells Fargo due to people saying it accepts mismatched names for deposits. Can I use the debit card with my real name that was issued for a new etsy shop, or do I need a VCC?


Does anybody know a vcc that works with etsy that will not get the account suspended, or how does everybody get past this?

I don't know how it is works on your country, but I used a VCC on my first attempt (I used my second name and last name) and it was suspended 🙄

Hi. I'm from Latin America too, I tried to open a new shop as you can see in my last post, fail again. Everything was a new (new name, IP, laptop, email, Paypal, virtual credit card, EXIF files, new products ).
I think something wrong for us living in South America about geolocation or something like that.

I will try one more time, but now using my friend informations. He lives almost 100 miles from me, but now using a remote connection after he opens the shop for me. Everything new and now with a NEW GEOLOCATION.

I saw one guy here, did something like that but using a tablet.

Does anyone know if there's a problem with remote connections?

I asked directly on E/T/S/Y chat about Virtual Credit Card, and he said to don't worry about it, as long as it is your first shop.

I will try again with everything new including new geolocation. Last time I tried but the new laptop was at my house.

Que alegre saber que hay mas personas de Latino America! Hare otra prueba pero con la tarjeta de credito de alguien mas.. porque la cuenta la suspenden cada vez que agrego tarjetas a mi nombre

Si, eso es lo mas complicado y creo que ahi es donde flaquea por la confirmacion de datos que ellos hacen. Si bien es dificil (o imposible) de comprobar, creo que ellos o el algoritmo señalan una cuenta si usa VCC para validacion.

I also write in english so everyone can read. Im not sure about this, but I think that getting a real CC is a main point as they do an address/info validation. I do think that they or the algorithm flag accounts that use VCC for validation or shop creation.

How are you so sure about it. Have you tried testing it. Because I made my account from Indian IP and used a card from another location and it worked. The account is still working. But in 2020 its not. I am not sure if it is because of the card IBAN or I am missing something else.
