Dispute in Etsy with inactive bank account
 

Hello!
I have one Etsy account which I haven`t used for a while. To this Etsy account was attached bank account which changed after Brexit. I couldn`t change the bank account in Etsy and left this Etsy account unused. There were set automatic payments from Etsy to my bank account once a day.
Now I logged to this Etsy account and see that right before I left this account, someone bought the item from my shop. Money has been sent to my bank account. The buyer opened the dispute for undelivered goods but I can`t refund as this bank account attached to my Etsy account is not valid anymore.

Can Etsy take some legal actions against me?

How could Etsy send you this payment if your bank account is invalid already? Therefore, a payment that has not been sent to you still belongs to Etsy and will refund themselves.

I would not worry if I were you.

Etsy can't take from my Etsy account as there are no money and bank account is not active anymore.

At this moment the bank account is no valid. Etsy seller account is with minus as there are no money.

I can't sell anything in this account as can't withdraw money from there. Etsy is strange platform that it is not possible to change bank accounts

Tell Etsy to uncredit the negative balance because you never received that payment to your bank account. Support your claim with proving your bank account is disabled.
