IP Address Questions
 

I think I messed up but am not sure? I just recently got a new internet service and am awaiting on my new laptop to arrive. My account was suspended recently. I am trying to open a new account. I went to Etsy on my current laptop not realizing I was still logged into my old suspended account, I logged out immediately.

I later went to the store and wasn't connected to any wifi. I checked the IP address log on my suspended account, and it looks like my new IP address was logged as signing out. Did I mess up?

Will my new account that I create on my new laptop when it comes in the mail be flagged immediately? I didn't do anything I only logged out. I was trying to look up supplies. I heard that the IP address has to be tracked multiple times and I'll be fine if it was only that one occurrence. :confused::confused::confused:

No it's under my boyfriends name. Might be a stupid question but the IP address that shows as logged on Etsy is different than the IP address from the cable box. So I think I may be okay?

Plus it was only one time and I heard you need to be logged multiple times for it to get flagged. Do you think I am okay to create the new account?

Is this really true? I thougth you get flagged immediately.

1 time is likely to be fine based on previous experience and other posters.
