Change name of ets shop
 

Hello to everyone
Just a quick question may be someone can help me
Recently my friend opened Stealth ets shop
And now she needs to register EIN to the shop name but she wanna do it with LLC and not to live problem with taxes in the future
so my question is
Can she change her shop name without any problem ? (she wanna change (something LLC)
Will this trigger anything ?

Do you mean changing storefront name or name on account?

Name on account.
(Cause she wanna open Llc to match with store)

To change your shop name:

On Etsy.com, click the Your Account icon, then click Shop Manager.
Click Settings.
Click Info & Appearance.
Click Change next to Shop name.
Enter your new shop name.
Click Save.
Shop names can be up to 20 characters long, and they can't have spaces or punctuation. You may want to capitalize letters in your shop name to distinguish separate words

Considering all information is legit there should not be any problem, message support and see what are the steps. It will not trigger anything, you'll just need to submit a doc with proof that company is associated with her name for future bank transfers.

Probably would work but always safer to stay under the radar as much as possible.
