Store Registration Canada ID Check
 

Hi everyone,

I got kicked off Et*y for copyright issues and I'm trying to setup a new Canadian et*y account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address but being asked for ID.
After some reading it looks like the account registration was flagged.

Is it because the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address during registration didn't match with information from bank account (real)? Does Etsy check bank account information?

During registration the name of bank account holder also didn't match name from "Tell us a little bit about your self" section because
Et*y gave me error to verify that all information is correct - not sure how they knew info was ⊗⊗⊗⊗ but it's possible that was the trigger.

Any tips would be appreciated!

To receive ID request is normal. You either receive it during registration, either after some sales (something between 1-100).

You can't sell on Etsy payments without verifying ID. That's the bottom line.

I was asked for I.d with one of my accounts. I had entered the wrong name to the address, I’m assuming? So I did it again with name and address that matched.
