PayPal only shop
 

Hey. Is there any difference between opening a PayPal only shop and an Etsy Payments shop? What is there to take care of or do differently? ID required?

No ID required. This is the upside because registration is easier.

The downside is that buyers are less eager to buy from you because: 1) they are not covered by Etsy's buyer protection 2) there's less payment options available which will affect your conversion rate.

Also dealing with Paypal has its own challenges, so I personally prefer operating only payments shops.

just received email from Etsy ,it will place reserve on shop payment account when needed.
I think ETSY is learning,

Paypal has buyer protection as well,not just Ebay or Etsy

I would be using my own PayPal account that I've had no problems with at all throughout the last few years. Only issue I have now is that after buying a VPN from IPBurger, setting it up and turning it on, Etsy doesn't forward me to the next page when I click on "Register". Is there any way to get to the next page? I set up a virtual machine running Ubuntu and I tried registering using Firefox.
