Etsy being Etsy

Hey there. I do not want to bother you guys with questions that have been asked before countless times but it doesn't feel good to have your livelihood stripped away by these big companies. I need help and I figured I should ask you guys.

I managed to open up a PayPal only Etsy store a few days ago. I listed one item and it was indexed. I listed four more items and the entire shop was not indexed anymore. And tonight I found out they had deactivated that account. I do have to say though, I added a new PayPal address to my existing one and used that with the IPBurger Residential Plan. I have had enough with this company now and I would rather just find a way to open up a shop that includes Etsy Payments.

This is what I gathered now after weeks and weeks of being here and reading through countless threads:

- IPBurger Residential Plan (CHECK)
- Virtual Machine (CHECK)
- New VCC (Where can I get one? The ones I've tried were not accepted by Etsy as they do not "support that type of credit card")
- New ID (Is this really necessary though? I heard that Etsy does not manually check IDs. Could I not use the one I had submitted last year + maybe they wouldn't find out if I just added a new bank account? However, if that wouldn't work, how do others do it? Do they photoshop their ID changing their name just a bit?)
- New bank account (Figuring this out right now)

I have to provide for my family and Etsy just changed my life last year... until it changed it again for the worse last December.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
oibruv

Hi mate,

It happens often and random sometimes.

VCC you can purchase from this forum marketplace

ID is mandatory for Etsy payments. Submitting your previous ID is definitely a link between old and new accounts.

Check online banks where you can open your account its the fastest way.

Hey. I got an N26 bank account as of today. Now I am waiting for their standard debit card that doesn't cost anything monthly. Would it work with that card as well?

I am not sure about VCC's on here. Don't want to be picky but where do these people get these VCC's from?

About the ID: I have seen some people say they used Photoshop to change a few details on their ID but isn't that risky? I have also heard others say that an ID may not be required if the system doesn't trigger the request?

Hi mate,

For countries where Etsy payments are enabled, ID is always requested. Either in the beginning either after some sales.

For VCC's you can check service providers section in this forum, there are some sellers offering VCC's. I personally would recommend E2Free Vcc's.
