| | | Marci | 02-11-2021 07:14 AM | Can etsy ads make me suspended? Hi, I am sorry, if this sounds like a dumb question.
After being shut down on etsy, i tried to create new account.
Searched informations here and had everything new for the new account.
It worked one week, I got 16 sells and then i turned on etsy ads and in about minute i was suspended again.
Can it be because of the ads? |
Re: Can etsy ads make me suspended? Never had that happen with ads, I use them on all my accounts. Likely some other reason.
Et sy can be quite random sometimes. |
| punitsirse | 02-15-2021 09:36 AM | Re: Can etsy ads make me suspended? the same thing happened to me. I created a new store added 2 3 products and did nothing for 2 3 days. Then I started running Etsy ads and my account got deactivated.
The next day I created another store with everything new, added a new product, and started running Etsy ads. The account got deactivated within a few hours. |

| Marci | 02-15-2021 03:18 PM | Re: Can etsy ads make me suspended? It happened today again. New store, all was OK for 2 days. 4 sells, today I started etsy ads, in few minutes store suspended. I'm now quite sure it has something to do with the ads. |

Posting same products from a recently suspended account will get you shut down too, even if you altered the pictures. |

I always use new images, card, and everything |
| punitsirse | 02-16-2021 09:23 AM | Re: Can etsy ads make me suspended? Do you also clear the EXIF data of the images you upload? |
| Marci | 02-16-2021 11:33 AM | Re: Can etsy ads make me suspended? i sell digital items, i create every picture new, very different style of new pictures, the account always works until i turn on the ads. I created two shops, one where i started the ads was immediatelly suspended, the other where i did not try the ads is still open |
| punitsirse | 02-16-2021 01:34 PM | Re: Can etsy ads make me suspended? one day I tried to create a store from my friend's laptop. Everything was new, IP, PC, Internet, new PayPal. New images, new products. but I always used the same Adobe application on MY PC to create the product images. My account got deactivated within few hours. I doubt it has something to do with the Images. I also cleared the EXIF data of the images before uploading. |

The titles and tags would still be similar too.
Anyway, this doesn't explain why I have zero problems with ads. |

BTW, Etsy ads are one of the best in-house ad platforms that I've ever seen; performance is very consistent. |

But did you use same name to create new account?
Do you live at least few miles from your friend?
Did you use same description for every product as on your suspended account?
Did you use same hashtags, prices, titles, same style for images?
There are a full team who works on security and this year they are planning to add even MORE people. They are spending 40m dollars for security.... |
Re: Can etsy ads make me suspended? There a number of sellers reporting their competition for ip infringement. They dont see your listing till you start advertising, when et sy receives a DMCA notice and your store is new with no ranking, it gets suspended without notice. This is why it appears to be suspended because of advertising. |
