New Esty account no selling period?
 

So my main etsy account was banned for copyright blah blah.

Now I have everything I need (I think) to set up a new stealth account, but im wondering is there a period I should have the account open for but not sell?

I'm not too sure if etsy check like ebay does, same thing with re-listing is there anything I should change or be aware of maybe?

I had stealth shop, that was created on August of 2020. I listed there only one new item that was never listed on etsy. There was no sales until I listed 10 more items from my suspended shop. I listed them in the begining of March 2021. When sales started in a cuple of days my stealth shop was suspended.
My answer, there is no any period.

The bot that matches your tag words with recently suspended stores strikes again. Make sure new products outnumber products from your old shop. Just altering the pictures is not enough.

Do you think that is just a numerical thing or tag words and descriptions get matched from banned accounts also?

I'm sure the bot compares titles and tags. Descriptions aren't indexed but you wouldn't not alter them.

I used different tags, maybe 3 out of 13 were used by me in suspended shop, also 2 world out of 10 in title were the same that I also used in suspended shop. I don't think that those 3 tags and 2 words in title could be the thigs to match my old shop because there are about 15000 items using those words and tags. I did made some changes in images, if I had some celebrity in red jacket with blue background, I changed jacket color to blue and background to yellow. But I wonder, there was my №1 competitor that get his shop suspended. He opened 2 more succesful shops where he was selling items from his suspended shop, he got those succesful shops suspended, One shop made 9000 sales other 6000. Now he made 2 new shops again, one shop made 2100 sales other 1600. He still sells items from his suspended shops. I can easily create ETSY stealth shop but I can't sell there my old items. How my competitor do sell items from suspended shop???

A few others in this forum have had their store suspended after listing nothing but same products as before, not just me, which led me to believe there's a bot looking for that. I don't know how they do it (of course). The store is flagged by the bot, and a pair of eyes look at it a few days later. If it really is a banned seller loading up his old listings then it would be obvious to anyone looking.

If its the same product, it is hard to have the title very different, I'd say the bot has pretty good AI. Conjecture is all we have and et sy aint saying anything. But it's a problem that et sy would know about, its what banned sellers do so it's no surprise they made a bot which looks for exactly that. Just have to stick with whatever hypothesis we can come up with.

Couple years ago I could load up with old listings right away without problem. Can't now.
