Open a new Etsy shop 8 years after shutdown?
 

Does anyone know how long Etsy holds onto our data? My shop got shut down 8 years ago for copy right infringement. I’ve learned my lesson but would like to open again. I was hoping they only kept records for so many years and I could open a meeting shop without having to go stealth. I’d open with a bee name, and photos but I’d like to not use a new bank or PayPal account. Any insight?

Canadian shops can't use paypal.

There's no answer how many years data is kept, you can try opening one and see how it goes.

I use to have my PayPal linked to my shop to pay my fees and that’s where all payments from customers went, but I also had my bank account linked. I want to set up a meeting shop with those two same accounts from 8 years ago .....

You should assume that these platforms easily keep information forever (whether or not it's technically legal) so don't assume to re-use old info
