IP crackdown

It seems to me e+$ee is doing some strict crackdown on the IP.. have had 1 acct go down and had 2 separate listings on another account be taken out all within 48 hours. am hearing that others are having this issue as well.

some products I sell are related to brands but no name of brand in tags, photos block logos with filters/objects-- usually something that protects me but it looks like they have upped their game with possibly the compliance team themselves reviewing listings..

Absolutely right. They're planning to 5x or 10x their review team this year.

Same issue here, I am targetted by N*ntendo keep asking to delete my listings, from 100 sales a day to 20 and now still not even 1 sale so far with the new shop I created it's sad, than you also ask yourself why me, others have there listings there for months I use the same disclaimers but still get deleted over and over 😣

Well Nintendo is extremely aggressive not just on Etsy, but everywhere.
Apple is the same

I am on Eb*y selling the same for a year now and got not even 1 listing deleted only there its pretty dead atm,Etsy is alive, its just some dude of netnames band protection who keep asking to delete my listing I guess it's the amount of sales I made in a short time period, I had over 1000 views per day

Re: IP crackdown

It's a crack down on new stores, not just IP. Then a 5 month shop with 300+ sales gets hit.. Some stores (very few) I am getting back after review confuses me even more.. Why those and not others? No ip infringing at all.

I saw on their site the closure of PP only option is temporary. Looks like a massive house cleaning.

They specifically stated the word "temporary" when talking about the restriction of pp only shop creation.

Their own blog and various articles in the media. Platform grew 2x times in 2020, problems with counterfeits and scam grew also. Thats why we are seeing those changes recently

They are doing a crap job off clearing out contraband stores though. They are still there, and they are closing straight stores instead. Some clean up.

Yeah, totally on point. Emailing them like crazy to re-open our legit shops with 5 star feedbacks and zero complaints. Funny, when everyone else's still selling same counterfeits

Oh trust me, they'll get those bad shops eventually... it's always a cat and mouse game.

Prob is they bring a unique demo to their site, cuz when I list elsewhere for even cheaper I get crickets. So they've got me by the cajones so to speak!
