Etsy Suspended my account for no reason
 

Hi Everyone,

I made an Etsy Account Nov 5th and listed brand new sewing machines which are drop shipped. I received my 1st sale over the weekend and just shipped it out today, checked the account just now and seen a message that said "your account has been suspended" I can't figure out why. I am not sure if another account was linked to it or not because i have another Etsy account will all my real info and i use that to purchase items. they suspended me from selling on this account back in 2018.

Yeah, your accounts were probably linked together if you used your real info for both. Databases don't forget, even after 3yrs.

I was going to say the dropshipping could have been the culprit but I think it's more likely you were just linked.

Sewing machines are not allowed? THat's weird.

It's funny that Etsy is made for self made goods yet you see people selling Chinese dresses, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ watch bands made in china, etc.

Your first sale will be scrutinized manually in detail by etsy. If they don't like what you’re selling…

Was likely them linking you though that got you suspended.

After first sale is when etsy digs into your listing and account info.

Just because others don't follow the rules don't mean they'll also give you a free pass

Sewing machines are definitely allowed, they have been on there for years under the supplies section.

What is not allowed is drop shipping. That and the fact that I am not sure
how you started your new account. Did you do it all stealth? otherwise they
will connect it to your old account and it will be closed. There is a lot of great
info here about how to get another account started.

Per Ebay,dropshipping from your wholesaler/distributor/manufacturer is fine,retail arbitrage between you a retailer with another retailer is not fine (another retailer would be like WMT,TGT,AMZN or another Ebay seller like yourself).
I dont think ETSY has such a policy yet in writing.
You are probably banned because Etsy linked it with your 2018 account.

Etsy has allowed antique and vintage goods many years ago,where have you been?
But as far as handmade goods are concerned,it must be made by you,someone employed by you or in partnership with an established company,go figure !
