Etsy asking for Social.

I sold some things on Etsy and now they want my social. My account has been permanently suspended for 6 months.

My question is should I give them my tax id?

Since they don't have mt SSN I thought that I could use my social to open a new account, and they can't report my income because my social wasn't ever given to them.

Just wondering if I should save my SSN for a new account? or give it to them so then I get a 1099-k.

No point giving it to them on a permanently suspended account, in my opinion. Perhaps they're just asking for it so they can report your past sales. Or perhaps it's an automated request due to the new lower reporting threshold. :noidea:

I doubt you'd be able to open a new account using your same personal details though, for what it's worth. Etsy is quite strict.
