Around a week usually. Sometimes you have to contact them again to remind them about your issue and sometimes they just make it active without notifying you. Worst customere service ever

YOU CAN either have them call you or talk to them online,this feature is available on US website.
why did they suspend you?

How can I appear that I am from the US to see if i can speak to someone? i know etsy don’t like VPN’s?

No need to send multiple. They always respond, just can take 1-3 weeks usually

I have used a VPN for 3 years with Etsy. I haven't had any problems.
