Sale of counterfeit reprint sports cards on Etsy.
 

Crazy how many buyers are getting scammed on Etsy with counterfeit sports cards. If you purchased a sports card on Etsy that was labeled as a reprint, and unless it is actually marked on the back as a reprint, it is almost 100 % sure that it is a counterfeit, pirated copy.

There are hundreds and hundreds of these for sale on Etsy.

Etsy has a house rule “You also agree not to post any content that is false and misleading or uses the Services in a manner that is fraudulent or deceptive.”

But there are hundreds of fraudulent listings with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ sham companies slabbing cards, fraudulent serial numbering, fraudulent authenticity statements.

When you read Etsy's transparency report, you would not think they are ignoring the entire sector of counterfeit reprinted sports cards.

Etsy has tons of sellers who sell ALIBABA items as vintage and antique

Etsy sales have slowed down a lot,many shops have zero sales.
Shoppers need the money to buy grocery,instead of handmade this and cutie that.
It would be interesting to see when Etsy reports 4th qtr earnings.

Those sports cards are obvious reprints with obvious ⊗⊗⊗⊗ grading labels also.

If you think you’re buying a jordan rookie graded 10 card for $30 then you have bigger issues going on!

All those buyers know they are reprints..

Yes this is par for the course, some shops selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ silver bullion, high demand coins suddenly 29.99... but eBay is the same and people fall for it, we all look out for eachother if you see on the marketplaces' forums.. its pretty easy avoid buying from unlicensed shops, new shops, and shipping from Asia or such..

Definitely lots of counterfeits on Etsy recently. Seems like they've relaxed policy in the past year or so due to drop in stock price and revenue

When I visited etsy I was surprised at how many chinese made garments there are. Or ⊗⊗⊗⊗ rolex hardware.
