ETSY STEALTH Account success stories
Hi I'm new to the forum. I'm looking for some advice before I start a new UK Etsy store. I got my Etsy account banned last year.
So far I have:
New computer.
New IP address from a new location. (Would I also need a proxie being in a different location? )
VPN set up ( Not sure if this might get me instantly shut down?)
New phone & number.
New browser.
New email.
I won't use any photo's from my old account. Will use a new business name etc. My worry is how to get around bank ID. I can get a new bank account easily but only under my real name. I'll keep this thread updated with my progress.
What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any help! |

You can open a new bank account, they can not check the name on it, only verify the account and sort code, banks will not give out names on accounts. |

Which VPN and browser are you using? Usually its easier to tether and then just use a new user account |

| DONT use any VPN for this, especially Surfshark, I have tried all the VPNs out there (privacy etc) and Surfshark sucks but in any case, it will definitely blow your account, don't bother.. get a residential proxy, preferably by ISP (Cox, Comcast, etc) lots of options out there. Its not as cheap, but it works.
I'll PM you the one I use.
Setting up my second account now, got my last stealth suspended due to no internet after I moved (didnt setup internet for a few days, so I lost out on about 1200 in sales over one week, eh =[ ...just created a new one, will hopefully be another success.
Tips;
Use all valid, new info. You are on target! Good luck! |

| Etsy has recently asked seller to use the same name on the bank account as the name registered with Etsy,your shop name can be different,so it looks like it could verify your bank account name.
I recall early days of Paypal,it does check name on your bank account and reject it if it is different,like your Paypal name is Jimmy Nelson and bank name is JAMES Nelson.
Then it stopped such practice. |

In both UK and USA non of the selling platforms can match the bank account to the name, the banks will not release that information to anyone.
Do not use a VPN, in the UK open a 3E broadband account it’s about £20 a month and it uses a mobile phone SIM card, each time you switch it off you get a new IP address, great if you create a number of stealth accounts. Do not use V P N residential or otherwise, the provider of the IP address can be looked up and Etsy and others, and they know who they are and will suspend the account. |

| i advice you don't use any vpn service in 2023. only clear res.idential IP and fresh mobile phone number. and don't forget to check your IP for fraud/risk score. |

Hmm.. K so gotta thing of other ways atm.
I heard to accept manual for that plaid mess they implemented which sucks. So I did get hit instant when I choose to log in through plaid BIG MISTAKE they nailed me, I am guessing they saw my accounts since I basically gave them access when I choose the non manual way.. My ? is I am going to do another stealth this time choosing manual, anyone thinks they would be able to still get in the bank and see my other accounts and link me with the bank portion ?
Mind you I do have some basics in sealth not a pro, but I have pass the getting my feet wet part. |

I lost my account over 2 years ago now.
Thinking of starting again but don't know how to proceed.
I made an account after I got banned originally and it had these
New bank (my wifes)
new laptop
new IP (my phone tethered)
new images on ads
but i was selling the same product. (ip infringing stuff that other stores are still selling two years later)
I have thousands of dollars of unsold stock I'd like to get rid of so i'm hoping I dont get banned again this time |

So I now have use of a friends Etsy account.

I've been advised not to use a VPN to connect to Etsy.
My original Etsy account was shut down from my current address. But I'm confused as to how my daughters able to still run her Etsy shop from my home? Can anyone tell me why this is?
I'm concerned that if I start selling products Etsy will pick up the IP . How can I get around this please/ It's my final hurdle. Thanks in advance for any help. |

| I would invest for £20 a month a 3E internet connect through their mobile tower or use your mobile phone as a hotspot which in essence gives you a residential IP which will change when you reboot your phone.
If your daughter is selling something different to what you we then it is feasible that they are not associating her account with yours. That is why you need a different IP address to hers especially if you are selling items not allowed on etsy |

| you don't need new laptop, just use the antidetect browser such as adspower/multilogin/gologin with new browser fingerprint
new ID/passport
new BANK account number
new CC/VCC
use your phone for hotspot/tethering
or use mobile proxy / Residential isp Proxy don't use vpn.

So a residential IP will be safe then. I seem to be getting conflicting advice. I don't want to pay extra to tether my phone. Is there another way? I think getting a new ID/Passport seems a bit extreme? I don't know what a new CC/VCC is |

That is not possible, you need an IP address to connect to the internet, the Internet Protocol Address is your unique number identity number when connecting to the internet, get a cheap sim only contract with a good data package and use your phones tethering function to connect to the internet through that way. Very easy to change IP address at will.
In my experience IP burger is an expensive alternative, and unnecessary in the UK. Nord VPN worked for me to run accounts but not for creating. Now I solely rely on Mobile tether for eb and etsy accounts. |

My friends account has already been set up. I'll be using that. So I could use Nord VPN? Would it have to be a residential IP address with them?
Also, if that works & I want to create more stores from her account. Could I just use Nord?

So I have a few more questions if anyone can help me .
Just to clarify.
1. Can I use a residential proxie IP address? Will I get flagged on Etsy?
2. How is my daughter able to run her etsy store from the same IP address when my store is banned? She's selling similar products. Maybe the IP address isn't that important after all?
3. if i strip the exif data from images that I previously used on my old account will that flag my account with Etsy?
4. Will using the same address on my bank details flag my account?

1. i'm not a fan of proxies but residential proxy IP...depends on the provider? Which is it?
2. She's being lucky - her account is likely not flagged because security flags are low at the moment
3. should be good but why not use new images?

My last hurdle...
I just need to find out the solution to the bank address issue and then I can create the stealth account. . Will Etsy ban my account if i have a "different" bank but with the same address as my old banned account. If so is there anything I can do about it? |
