temporary funds reserve what is this
 

hi guys/gals


i have created acc 6 month ago and started aelling 4 or 5 days ago ... b4 yesterday sold 1 prod , yesterday 3 and got a message sayingthat my funds were on reserve bla bla ...

i did not understand exactlywhat that means ..

in my panel funds reserve says 0 i dont understand what is it for ...

currently i am waiting for bank deposits so i dont have balance to transfer ...

after i input deposits i should have 130 euros to withdrawal ..


whith this reserve thing it means i will receive funds in 90 days ?

how this impact my account and funds i should receive?


if someone can help me to understand what is this, how it is triggered and how it affects my furure payments to my bank please ?!

if i sell other products what happend ? should i take any special care ?

When you first start selling they will place a hold on the funds for about 14 days, this enables the buyer to receive the item and report any issues, after 14 days they consider it safe to pay you.

Ignore Yobar he is an idiot who uses ChatGBT and spouts useless information that is generally inaccurate or a cut and paste from eBays Q&A which you can lookup anyway.

There are periods when they reserve funds

They release also when the tracking added show delivered

someone knows how to avoid this i burn that acc starting a new one but want to avoid this old . is it possible or all new accounts get this hold ?

Just start selling slowly at first. It will drop off after a bit of time

Just read an article on this Etsy reserve,UK sellers who sell handmade furniture ,etc are getting sales proceeds withheld for too long.

not necessarily - a lot of factors are at play...however, chances are higher that you will get a hold on the accounts so work with that premise

All sales venues have tightened their policy,no one here can tell you how much and how long Etsy will hold your fund.
Charge back can come within 180 days,read that article I just posted/some have their fund held for 45 days

My Etsy account of over 2 yrs suddenly has a payment reserve now, after a customer opened a dispute, the first and only dispute ever on the account. They are trying to mitigate risk

Etsy must have suffered some losses,chargeback can come in 6 months and shop is long gone.

The payments reserve happen also in temp periodic reviews that etsy make sometime ,when the tracking shows the item is delivered they release the funds

2 years old is not exactly an old account,selling digital goods with no tracking is the reason/
