Creating a new seller account on Etsy after been supended (UK)
 

Hello everyone!

A few months ago I was suspended on Etsy, I have sold on Etsy for 2/3 years using multiple accounts with my legit name and details.

I know exactly why I was suspended from Etsy. I'd like to create a new selling account with new info and start off slow selling cheap items, I am familiar with eBay Stealth and have used it on and off for many years however this is the first time with Etsy.

I understand that I will need the following:

New Name
New Address
New Bank
New Device and IP

I've done as much research as I can over the past few weeks and I am down to 2x options to go with, I'd like some advice on either or and if you happen to have any recommendations, I'd welcome that.

1) I currently have 2x family members who live with me who said I can use their details however I realise the same address as prior would be an issue. Could I use their details with another address?

2) I use a friends personal info however add a bank account of mine and use their name for the setup, I've read Etsy cannot see the bank name?

A question I also have, does Etsy require ID verification for UK accounts? I can't ever remember submitting my ID when I sold on Etsy previously.

Any comments would be greatly appreiciated! Thank you in advance for your time + efforts.

the name on the bank account must be the same as the account you used to open the Etsy account

When you say new device, are you talking about a phone or pc? or both?

For the PC, as far as i'm aware just a new user account is fine.

You do not need a new PC just create a sub account in windows and use a different IP address

Etsy can check the name on given bank account details? Is that the same for UK?

Can't really check the name unless funds are sent from the bank to etsy...

When paying the Etsy fees can Etsy know if the name I entered as my bank account is the same as the real bank account’s name?

Does Etsy require ID on all new accounts, or do they just ask if there's some issue?

if you pay fees from your bank account - uploading funds would send the real name on the bank acct

So the way to go is paying the fees from the bank account right? Is there a problem if I pay them with credit card?

Is the address on the account the same as the address on the CC?

i prefer paying with credit card - also has protection built in if ever needed

Should pay the fees detracting the funds available or with the card

Yes it is a mandatory step to do when registering the account

ID will always get asked for

It can be skipped at first but will be requested later
