Why are so many et.sy stealth accounts being caught?
 

Good evening guys,

I've read and checked about 20 threads regarding et.sy, there seems to be an overwhelming amount of failures when setting up.

I'm just wondering and trying to figure out why, is it perhaps et.sy does more checks than egay does?


Does et.sy have more intel than we think about who lives with you? I know banks can't share names if asked too, so what the heck is going on!?

I'm going to be doing some testing very soon myself my setup will be:

1- Friends or my wife details/ID
2- New Address
3- New Bank
4- Fresh IP
5- New laptop (already have a laptop that's not currently used so skipping new user account)
6- Fresh new images, new products even, new descriptions and avoiding items that will get you banned.


Now how would et.sy ever catch someone with a setup such as this!? :shocked:

They use and AI learning apparatus for the initial bans (Linked CC, copy-pasted images, etc) then it gets reviewed by the Safety and "Trust" Team.

That.s probably why they ask you detailed questions about the account to help you restore it when they know full well its a permaban.

I agree, ai is being used to automate bans now, learning is getting better as time goes on

The setup is fine and should not gain any attention, just make sure that the name and address match as they do a soft search on yout credit file.

Interesting, thank you for the replies, so it seems like et.sy is way ahead of the times. I wonder if they lurk around the forum too.

I'll still give it a go myself and report back on a new thread if it's successful or not.

Yes, but IMO they are just lazy and resourceful. LOTS of new shops are dropshipping straight from China, and counterfeit products at that..so it is still an epidemic.

Thats what makes Etsy so fun (and infuriating) =]

Im getting close to catching up with the Etsy algo after a few years..I almost know enough to make a very good Stealth Guide.

My next hobby project is to make an account in Europe or something to get around the SSN in the US.

Of course, couldnt you just make an LLC or two and use a DBA (Alias "Doing Business As" instead of your real name? Sadly I have heard that they want your SSN as well..

Sorry for the tangent..about to create a fresh account after I register my Business with the government.

I few months ago I was running a successful shop using my previously banned SSN and credit file (New bank, address, IP, and phone)...I couldnt believe it...maybe the system caught on? Not sure. I got suspended by that stupid AI thanks to my sleep deprived decision to use an old CC linked to my "Quit your job now, its ok" Etsy shop that was banned due to something minor. ='[

Dont worry Etsy, Ill be back.
