Etsy ID verification
 

Hey, I am trying to create a new account on etsy after getting banned. I live in Poland in Europe. How can I avoid ID verification. I tried different addresses in several countries but each time they ask me for ID due to VAT registration. I am setting up the store on a virutal machine with a different IP. If there is someone here from Europe who managed to create an account I would really appreciate your help.

Just refresh the page and you can skip it, but anyway they will ask for ID again at first sale

Yeah, I know that I can skip this part by refreshing but its pointless, because I will have to do it in the future. How could I avoid this not to get suspended?

Okay, so how do you guys get ID verified?
I mean you have to use bank acc which is the same as ID you provided?
I have everything set up but I am struggling with it

Stealth etsy doesn't work anymore. You need all real, matching info.
Yours or someone elses is the only way.

With your real ID if you used that info on MP [bank info]

I'm not a stealth expert or anything of the sort. But I am currently sitting at around 170 Sales and I haven't been asked to verify any information whatsoever yet. Although my account was created in February and has good progressive selling history, set up under my mums name with a valid address, bank account, and phone number. Also matches the address on the UK Electoral Roll.

TL:DR - I buy wholesale products from China and resell on Etsy. Using slightly modified images, AI product descriptions, good tag research and excellent customer service.

Long Answer

I search for what other people are selling from AliExpress on Etsy and copy their stores. I just do it better because no one puts any effort in when writing tags, descriptions or titles. Etsy isn't a place for handmade items anymore (it still has that reputation though, which is good for unique and interesting items). A lot of good sellers on Etsy are just selling Aliexpress products now so why not join them? Aslong as you care about your customer, only buy highly reviewed products, and always have a strong moral code there isn't anything wrong with it in my honest opinion.

I also use E-rank for tag research to find gaps in my niche. If a search term has 5000 monthly searches, a CTR of 100-150% and only 1000 products that's definitely a product you should be sourcing and fulfilling.

Etsy is basically an up market Ebay where you can sell the same products at a 1000% mark up. If you sell on Ebay but don't sell on Etsy you're missing out big time.

You are using your mum's information hence why there's been no ID request.

Doing this with permission is fine although the tax implications can be messy. Doing this without permission is identity theft

Ive just been told stealth doesn't exist anymore. Not sure what to believe lol. I guess its impossible to create accounts on Etsy without committing identity fraud now.

true stealth is very difficult these days...the process still exists but at some point, if Id is required....it's tough

This is pretty much true. there are some minute exceptions. Recently married?Or changed names? Have a middle name? Many banks in the U.S only use my first and last, some use first, last, MI, and some use FULL first last, and Suffix.

That gives me some play...but Im not sure if it works the same where you are. Romania, Sweden and the UK may be similar.
