| | | heavyrain | 08-30-2023 04:42 PM | New Etsy Under Friend, who pays the taxes? My account got banned, no explanation to why. I am also in Canada.
My partner is fine with me opening an account in their name and bank (going to create a new one just for this)
My question is, im assuming they have to pay the taxes and I cant pay them under my name?
Has anyone ever used their own bank account but with the person who opened the Etsy added to the bank as an authorized deposit name so it can be depoisted in a different name? |
Re: New Etsy Under Friend, who pays the taxes? Welcome to the forum OP - all the best as you master stealth :thumb:
taxes should be discussed with financial professional |

But I'd treat etsy like amazon ghost and make the account as such...
If you never did stealth before you're gonna burn her account very quickly |

-you should be able to add his name to your bank account so your bank would not reject any Etsy deposits coming into your bank account, some bank does not care,so you should find out.
Once his name is in your joint bank account,he can withdraw fund from the account,if he is in trouble with tax authoirty or creditor, and they know this account, they could seize the fund in the account, you should talk to someone first
BTW,I know in USA,Etsy wants you to link a bank account which has the same name as the the name used to open the Etsy account.,so if the etsy account is in his name,so should the bank account |
Re: New Etsy Under Friend, who pays the taxes? more details are needed from OP if understanding of the ban is to happen |

Was hoping to find another way around this, as having someone else pay taxes on the sales is messy.
Doesnt seem to be another way around the ban tho |
