Etsy banned after changing the bank? Is there a chance to get the store back
 

3 years old esty store, never had any issues
Need to change the bank lately due to change location.
Wait 3 days to verify and banned me almost right away
Did not receive any notice to tell me why I was suspended.
Got very upset now, because I have so much stuffs to sell....

Banned all over silly things. I updated image from sold listing. Then i got ban hammer. I applied and got rejected.

With Etsy,the name on your bank account must agree with the name you registered for your Etsy account.

we are talking bank account .
name of bank account owner must be the same as the name of the shop owner.
This is so in USA,outside USA,I dont know

why do you want to update image of sold listing??
if it is sold,you cant alter the image.

Is the new bank account in the name of the shop owner?

I dont think you can change a sold listing,are you talking about a relisting?

This US requirement started this year,may be it does not affect overseas
sellers,or they have no way to access your bank account to verify.

Etsy is stupid! they banned accounts for no reason!!!!!
NO wonder their stock is so bad now... they limited everyone.:deadhorse:

do not repeat false information, I can 100% confirm that the details of the account owner from outside the USA do not have to match the details of the Et$ store owner

I uploaded images from different angle. And delete 1-2 images with low quality. I acted like new seller. Surprisingly :ban?:

I believe Etsy is tightening their requirements especially as more traffic from egay seems to be moving there. I can confirm the name of the bank account must match that on the Etsy account, at least in the USA. Etsy has used plaid as the service to verify this information, much like egay uses adyen's backend for verification

You mean you are reusing the photos on a new listing,not trying to edit a sold listing or relisting the sold listing?

this bank account match is a new policy,started sometime in 2003.
Yes,all sales venues are tightening their policy.
So do banks,fund deposit over $5k is held for days,
I just found a charge on my credit card I do not recognise,there must be plenty of cc fraud as well

Bank names do not need to match. The moment they will need to, I guess there will be no more etsy account sellers. So far nothing has changed, plaid can be used via manual confirmation (entering routing + acc number), so they can't see any names.

plenty of Etsy sellers have no problem linking their bank accounts in their name,

some ppl just don't want to give up all real info to online platforms as well

Seems it wasn't!

I've been toying with signing up, it seems etsy have reached their tipping point where ebay was many years ago and are attracting a lot of attention, possibly from the authorities and have decided it's time to manage their business more strictly using AI and this is the result.

Oh no, that's tough! Your sudden ban after three years without any notice must be so frustrating, especially when you have lots to sell.

It seems like a mix-up with the bank change. Try reaching out to Etsy's support ASAP to sort this out.
