All New US shops on etsy are currently suspended in 24-48 hours. It maybe because of holidays. Just 5 month ago you could open shop without problems what changed ?
Any one appeal and got reinstated ?

Not opened any US accounts but opened 3 UK etsy accounts in the last 2 weeks without any issues.

in the UK do you need a taxpayer number that must be verified when opening an account? or only Creative ID?

No taxpayer number needed.

ID submitted at sign up as info used was stealth (not verifiable with public records).

What scared me tho is first sale. They will manually check the store. I hope they will be fine with POD item

No,they tighten security during holiday shopping seasons
It could ask you for vendor invoice to make sure you have the items in stock

If you make your product you will have less problems in my experience. It all depends what you sell.

IME they don't bother with any of that. You get suspended and if you are lucky they will help you pursue reinstatement, but it is very rare.

I've had solid shops setup with completely legit info, and matching everything. Suspension from the AI bot, then after you contact support they manually review, which is a perfect time for them to permaban you with no explanation. The rules change frequently.

That said, its easy to setup a shop and slowly get to ten sales. Also keep in mind you can setup an account from Jan-March without needing to submit a physical ID in the USA, just need legit tax info and you will slide right in.

No,I have never been asked for invoice,I have everything listed in stock.
But I dont sell commodity like items everyone is selling,also I take my own pictures.
