| | | asot34 | 11-30-2023 12:57 AM | Etsy photo bot question Hi guys, can anyone help me with this if the bot scans only the main picture in the listing to see if it’s not handmade etc. based on my knowledge they only scanned the first one so the rest of the pictures don’t matter however I’m not hundred percent sure. Anyone know the answer ? thanks in advance |
Re: Etsy photo bot question I think it would be easy to circulate through the photos though... |
| agent006140 | 11-30-2023 11:00 AM | You can go to Etsy seller forum and ask?
There are plenty of Ali items claimed to be antique, handmade.
Handmade items must be made by you or someone who works for you.
I mean Etsy started out as a place to buy and sell handmade crafts ,they do spend time making sure they are handmade and made by the artist or someone employed by the artist, not just using bot to look at your pictures.
But they are strict with porno and ivory ,as for those Ali stuff, they are listed by US sellers, |

An example, you list something and within 1 minutes you get dinged with a hand made policy, that is not sent to you by a human being, that photo of the listing got caught by AI. So question above is if the AI checks the main picture only or the whole album, Based on my experience, it always has been the first photo, but I am not a veteran when it comes to this stuff, this is the reason I wanted to ask that question on forum. Most people who knows to answer will not answer to this question publicly, and I totally understand that, if I would really appreciate if anyone can answer me thru DM if that is the case. |

i have had 4 listings taken down and iam worried that the account gets banned at this point. will try to edit the background of the photos with AI perhaps that will help to deter the BOT |

is it really handmade?
If Etsy does not remove it but buyer can complain and want to return the item and leave you negative feedback |

If Etsy does not remove it but buyer can complain and want to return the item and leave you negative feedback | they are statues which is handmade/hand painted but im not the maker simply dropshiping and the photos exist on other platform already had multiple listings taken down by the BOT since it scans the web for similar pictures. im thinking to add new backgrounds using AI and then watermark all photos ? |

My photos from Etsy was stolen by somebody on AliExpress. And Etsy deactivated my listings because they don't accept photos from AliExpress. But what can i do to change the situation. |

i have noticed that some dropshipers on etsy water mark the very first photo and they are selling dropshipped items just fine on etsy so im guessing the bot only scans the first photo ? |

What about making a video with AI and using your generated product image? Basically just do a 360 video view, I am sure AI will be able to do it. Maybe Etsy wants the first store listings to be as clean and as professional as possible? |

I found my photos copied as well by AliExpress sellers. It's obvious why, isn't this topic about this? 😂 Watermark for the first photo would help. |
