Etsy suspended after 1 sale
 

Hi all,

I was running my Et$y store successfully previously; however, in the past few months, Et$y started to permanently suspend stores after they got their first sale. I've tried different ways to create a new account, but still have the same issue. I will write the steps I take below and highly appreciate any suggestions.

1. I used a dedicated IPv4 proxy (Socks5) and an anti-detect browser with a new fingerprint.

2. A new email New bank account (mostly revolut Business, Wise Personal, etc.) New company/personal account, new identity (person who never registered on Et$y before.)

3. I have generated product pictures very similar to the ones I will be selling with AI (3–4 fully AI-created photos), removed metadata, generated unique product titles, product descriptions, added variants, sku, etc.

4. Added a debit card (tried both, physical and virtual)—everything matches (billing address, name on card).

5. Used the Google Authenticator Chrome Extension for 2FA6. I left the account with one listing for some time, and once it gets a first sale and I am verifying the bank details, the account gets suspended (mostly on the next day).

I assume that Etsy stuff is manually checking the store once you get a sale, and they can possibly see that the product images are AI-generated.

I've also been told that it makes sense to create your first product digital, not physical, and get a first sale (either you buy from yourself with another device or credit card or wait for a sale), and then after you pass their verification, you can add different products.

I've also seen sellers selling similar products to mine, and they simply extend or replace the background of the product with AI, not generating a similar picture from scratch, leaving the real photo on the picture.

What are your thoughts, guys, about that all? What can you recommend?

Are you always making the first sale that same item? Perhaps your pattern is being recognized - just a thought.

I am not sure about making the first product digital though

No, the products are not the same. Every time new products (from a similar category) and AI-generated product photos, titles, and descriptions.
I assume maybe the issue is with the price. Products are 120–200 USD.

Hmm that is a high price for a first sale but I have not tried those prices on etsy - I feel that initial sales should be lower and ramped out over time

What would you be targeting as a initial sales amounts?
20-60 USD?

I'd not do #1 .
If you need to use a proxy, use ipburger residential IP .
Don't do the anti detect browser,

getting same suspension after first sale. No matter what I've tried. Smdh Even on accts I've bought from sellers here. Running pretty much the same steps as you accept I use ip burger residential proxy.

solution is very simple , you just need to imagine you are joe sixpack who wants to start selling on etsy

which of the described measures would be abscent with joe sixpack?

I would recommend not using anti detect browsers, if you were a regular seller you would be using a regular browser, just do that in another user account in windows, use a mobile phone as a tether and keep your initial pricing low.

Its probably not Etsy banning the store but the BOT

IF the bot doesn't like something it will shut the store down

You need to make sure your payment account is verified straight away after you create the account and sometimes you need to upload tax payer ID too

im finding that it might be virtual banks. Real banks works best.

New account selling digital products $100 plus is not a good idea,
But this is not the reason why you are suspended,it just draw attention to Etsy police.

Not as important but if you want to have backups going and computer isn't too expensive, why not?

It is easy for you to say,Joe Sixpack would just open an account and start listing anything around the house or pick up at garage sales.
Joe has never been suspended and have his own bank issued credit card and bank account.

how long after your first sale do you get suspended? Earlier than 24 hours? Between 24-48 hours?
What do you mean "when they verify your bank details"? When will he send the micro deposit after the first sale or only after you have verified the small payment?

Yes it's usually between 24-48 hours after the first sale comes in. Once they first sale appears they sent a micro deposit to my bank, verifying it successfully and after a day or two - account is suspended and can't be reinstated after the appeal.

I will try not to use proxy and anti-detect browsers this week, will try to do it through a phone, maybe even their app if it allows.

I'd try formating your drive and reinstalling your OS on your old PC then try 1 Etsy account on it.
