| | | | | johntusk | 02-23-2024 03:03 PM | Set theory for images and listings from suspended accounts I want to list listings\images from suspended Etsy account.
Suspended account had about 100 listings and I want to list only 50 items from that 100 on a totally new account.
I will change those 50 images to some degree.
Example of image changes I will make: Etsy took down 1 of my bestsellers as not handmade, because Chinese seller has listed it on Ali.
I made a new listing with changed small details in the product and got no more mathces with Ali listing, not from Etsy within a year not from Ali "search by image" function.
Titles for those 50 items will be also changed to some degree.
But in general those are the same 50 items from suspended account and they exactly match as a subgroup from 100 items from suspended account.
Also I want to add 120 items from another suspended account to one of my working accounts wich already has 40 items on it.
Will Etsy judge that these working accounts are related with suspended accounts?
Because only 1 seller could know the subsequence of 50 and 120 items from suspended accounts.
Consider that in all other ways there is no relation, just items. Category for all items is the same also. |
Re: Set theory for images and listings from suspended accounts Etsy shouldnt be able to judge these accounts as linked if you vary up the listings, I'd say |

My idea was based that high concentration(about 50%) of similiar invetory on suspended and new accounts can cause a suspension.
Looks like rsot was right, if listings vary enough then there will be no issues.
Tested this from march to current day on different accounts. |
| tedsmith1990 | 07-29-2024 12:16 AM | Re: Set theory for images and listings from suspended accounts There are no rules. I have an account, and all the images come directly from the supplier, who also sells on other platforms. I've never had any issues. Some items I listed could easily be considered handmade, but Etsy informed me that they are not. |

Consider that in all other ways there is no relation, just items. Category for all items is the same also. | Be careful. They can see metadata as well, so I would advise you to use something like canva or take new photos. |

Tested this from march to current day on different accounts. | Right, first the images have to have different data in them.
And you wouldn't wanna copy paste all your listings from the suspended acc to the new acc.
At least list little by little |

Which variations that you have made? | Backgroung and size.
But as a manufacturer, I changed the product slightly, too.
Also, I always clean with Adarsus (website) all the metadata. |

If you agree my answers, give me "thank you" | This method did not help me last year to avoid "non handmade" violation.
My product that I make was a best seller that got published on Ali and then deactivated on Etsy.
Created new listing: totally changed the backgroud and made the image darker and still it was deactivated within a month.
Not a competitor or customer claim.
I changed the product slightly itself until I stopped linking via Ali photo product search to the similiar product and no issues then.
So background change must be done for sure to relist products from suspended account but may be not enough for the issue mentioned above.
Maybe different bots do the check, who knows. |
