ETSY VCC doubts
 

To confirm my seller account I need VCC. Since I am about to create stealth account as my primary got suspended, I believe I can not use VCC connected with the same provider & details of mine (name, address, DOB) which I have used with banned account?

For this reason I reached to sellers here on the marketplace, however, my concern is in regard with this new 15$ or 11pounds fee introduced by etsy. I guess this card has to be preloaded with the amount needed.

Anyone went through the same process? Thoughts?

I'd use a high end VCC for amazon on etsy. That should work fine.

VCC's sold here on the forum will get your account suspended, they are not suitable for etsy.

No balance needed on card during sign up, etsy just checks the card validity.

Card must be unique, but owners name/surname/address or anything else cannot be seen. Just input your new card number + stealth name details

The problem with Virtual Cards is a headache for many people, thank you for that answer, very accurate, I attest that the vcc of the site does not work for Etsy

You need to check the BIN of the virtual card to determine which bank your card belongs to (the first 6 digits on the card). If it belongs to a popular neobank (like Wise, Revolut), then Etsy anti-fraud system will most likely suspect your account.


Etsy will not be able to check the name on the card, so you can use a card registered under any name.

Her question is WOULD ETSY CHARGE THE CARD FOR OPEN A STORE?

when does ETsy charge a fee,when you open a shop or when you start listing items?

if your VCC has no fund,you would have to top it or replace it with one which does?

then why is she asking about a VCC with zero balance?

if Etsy is asking for 11 GBP to open a store ,then it will charge you that fee when store has been approved,so you would need a VCC with at least that much money,also it would charge you 20 cents in US for every listing

Many said any high street bank vcc would work. can't say yet as I am building up my accs.

when you open the store it charges this fee , before was doing random ,now i think in all the accounts ,is like under agreement

i tried to keep the vcc without balance but etsy attempted the charge and was refused then i top up and worked ?? not sure if depends by the vcc used?

The post also mentioned that OP reached sellers on the forum for etsy vcc's. So needed to point out that vcc's here will not work for etsy

when you open the account in the last page where have to insert the card nuber there is written the agreement that the card will be charged 11 pound

I'd say a high end VCC for amazon should be good enough.

If it's good enough for amazon then surely it's good enough for etsy no?

There's VCC that work very well for Etsy, but the card must have at least $16 loaded.

They will take the money after you open the shop (the last step before going to dashboard), therefore, any cards you use should have the money loaded when you add to Etsy.

I don't have any problems with cards.

On Etsy, there's a lot you should focus on besides VCCs. Just use a vcc from a bank that you know about it,

Agreed, you need to focus on the details you enter when creating, but you must ensure the listings you upload are unique and not commercially available online.

They are active, I checked :d And no I did not but saw a few members on here saying that they are not great for etsy

Besides the credit card,Etsy also wants you to attach a bank account in your name?

I think et. sy is able to check the name address registered on some VCC cards. That may happen if they suspend immediately after creation

on the vcc card they cant see the name and address by default

When I used vcc wise on ebay they say the address is not correct, can use also VCC cards on Etsy for open the store

They can't check the name and they can only validate the VCC's billing to match the registration address.

i havent used wise vcc's but are they supposed to auto-match to any address or need to register...

I registered a VCC in Hong Kong yesterday and found that many of them cannot be used. The fee charged is $19, but I have already recharged $20 for VCC. Also, does Etsy verify virtual bank accounts? I used my own bank account before, but unfortunately, it has been banned by Etsy

i think many platforms including etsy, pp, etc are able to tell the use of virtual bank accounts by the registration details and have huge flags up on them. which virtual bank account service are you using - wise/ or/

Etsy expects the name on your bank account agrees with the name you registered with Etsy.

Those cards wont work for etsy 100000000000000% wont work. Save your money.
