Default Sharing knowledge: My Etsy set up process

Hey Everyone
Hope you're all holding up well. I’ve been in the Etsy game for a while now, and until recently, I managed about 20 shops—all of which got banned. I've been working to get them back up since.

I’m creating this thread because it sounds like we could akl benefit from swapping insights. Especially with things changing every week with Etsy at the moment and the new £12 fee which makes it expensive to test and figure out ways round these new things, Here’s a quick rundown of my current process:

1. **Setup with Incognition**: I create a new profile and run a cookie collector. After it’s done, I wait 24 hours before moving forward.
2. **Google Shopping Entry**: I then open that profile, search "Etsy Jewelry" on Google, and click through a shopping link to appear less like a bot.
3. **Browsing Behavior**: I spend about 15 minutes browsing, make sure to add at least one item to the cart, and add five items to my favorites.
4. **Account Creation**: Using a Gmail account, I sign up, hang around for a bit, then log out.
5. **Store Setup**: The next day, I click to open a store. First, I handle the questionnaire which Etsy uses to gauge my intent, making sure to answer in a way that helps to humanize my account. It then forces me to list an item, so I usually pick something from around the house. I saw on a thread daveh83 said to add a production partner, but I’m not sure how that works with me listing home items.
6. **Banking Details**: I input my Chase bank details, which allows up to 20 personal accounts. This flexibility is great for managing multiple shops.
7. **Verification**: After entering my bank details and hitting continue, the system doesn’t verify on the first try. After the third It prompts me to upload a passport photo, which I always take fresh for each account, making sure to remove any metadata before uploading.
8. **Payment and Security**: Next, I use Revolut Business to create a virtual card and handle the £12 opening fee. Once the payment is processed, I set up two-factor authentication using Google Authenticator.
9. **Final Touches**: I spend about five minutes browsing and interacting with the site to make my activity appear more human, then I log out.

That’s my entire setup process. Recently, my stores have been getting banned quickly after setup. I’d love to hear any strategies or insights from anyone else

Cheers

If you haven’t made the item entirely yourself you need to state who’s made it and what role you play in its design. Plus take your own pics and you shouid be ok.

If you sell say a pair of trainers and don’t add a production
Partner they’ll suspend you. You need to either make the production of the product or the design and list who made it.

1. Scroll to the forum's marketplace section. You'll find all the sellers approved by the forum in there.

2. REPORT anyone sending you a DM offering you for sale or services to me. Those are scams

Do you create UK accounts?
I guess the main problem is the step that you make payments by virtual cards.

Someone told me nearly 100% dead while linked with virtual bank, as well as bank accounts from third-party.

If you create british account, use PAYPAL. it is much safer.

agreed in general - the partner idea will take cash but might ensure quality - to each his own choice

Do you mean to use Paypal to buy an item from the personal profile before opening a shop? I use wise physical card, is paypal better?
