Etsy store payment

Sorry if this has already been posted, but i went to create a new store tonight.
And etsy require a one off upfront payment. Think it was around the 12 gbp region.

Seems like a bit of a price gouge.

The amounts are somewhat high, but this is also a filter to prevent many people from selling.

There is also a 20 cents listing fee .
Also you should study how you could end up paying for Google Search if a buyer comes to your shop,look around and days later make a purchase
