| | | restaller | 05-26-2024 08:01 AM | Is it possible to re-register an account after requesting the deletion of our data? Etsy says this on their website:
"After you submit the deletion request
Once open issues are resolved, the permanent deletion process begins and can take around two weeks.
Depending on which of our services you've used (such as whether you've made purchases or sales on Etsy) or if your account violated our policies, we may be required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, tax, security, or compliance reasons for a limited period of time, after which it will be deleted."
Assuming that Etsy or Ebay are not required to retain tax information, how long are they required to retain our account information related to registration data?
Is it possible to register again after a period of time after requesting the deletion of our data? |

Personally,I wonder if you have done something wrong, they will erase everything ?
I know Paypal keeps the accounts forever |

I know Paypal keeps the accounts forever | I registered an account for my mother and to avoid attracting attention (my mother is 72 years old) I deliberately put the year wrong. I thought I could change it later.
So, when I made the first sale they asked for documentation since the Etsy account information didn't match the bank account information. I think this is an automatic process. Furthermore, the home address did not match, I did not know this.
And also, the first item I sold did not comply with Etsy's policies, so I thought the best thing would be to request account deletion, and a few days later I received the email informing me that my account had been suspended.
The error that triggered all this was the wrong information on the year or the wrong address. Silly mistake, I think I was doomed anyway, due to the item I sold.
There is no PayPal information. Do they delete everything? Person details and bank account information? Fiscally, they are not required to retain data, since I only had one sale. |

I know Paypal keeps the accounts forever | They never delete the information forever, maybe they don't save everything but they do save the names and numbers of documents. |

| yobar | 05-26-2024 10:46 AM | Re: Is it possible to re-register an account after requesting the deletion of our dat In general they are obliged to delete the information and not keep it but they also keep information to know that the same person does not open an account and can scam again so legally they cannot but personally I think they do. |

when you open an Etsy account, your bank account name should match your etsy account name)your shop name can be different),birth date does not matter,
As to the address, did you add a credit card? |

He told me that they suspended his account due to VERO issues. So a week later he made an account in a friend's name, it was an account with all the data different from the suspended account.
The important thing is that approximately 18 months later Ebay began to manage payments (Paypal was no longer there) and my friend had to update the information, bank account, identification, etc... and they did not suspend that second account, so it can be deduced that they effectively deleted their data.
That is, 18 months passed between the suspension of the first account and the moment the information was updated. The accounts were not linked.
He also told me that he spoke to a guy at Ebay and the guy advised him to open another account six or eight months later. |

Your friend is telling you about his Ebay experience, before MP,Paypal has his financial information, not Ebay.
So when EBay switches to MP ,MP has no record of his past. |

For stealth basics, most are similar though, but that's about it. |
| tedsmith1990 | 05-29-2024 04:28 AM | Re: Is it possible to re-register an account after requesting the deletion of our dat well, i dont think ebay or etsy has the power to do this linkable things. Normally only crime or tax department has the certain power. Quote:

But if the accounts belong to different people, and the data of each person is the same (the Etsy data matches the bank account data), if the IP's are different, and if the Canvas Fingerprint is different, there should be no problem. The IP should be of quality.
