Items removed from etsy
 

In keeping with the AI takeover, it seems Etsy is getting in on the fun as well. This morning we awoke to an email saying Etsy has removed items from our shop. AI is so stupid it can't differentiate between items that SPY on people and items that PREVENT spying. Ours are the latter. AI is a major step backwards.

Some of these platforms are also intentionally dropping sellers off.
Too many sellers for them to handle

What was the reason for remove? e-mail text? What were these items (trademarks?)

They look for key words not putting those key words in context

Yep agreed - just saying right now that is what is happening. Doesnt solve the issue just explains why its an issue

I wonder what keywords you have in mind, what bothers them? trademarks or items that are not handmade, etc.?

Spy will definitely be one

Certain brands are likely to also trigger it.

There isn't really a definitive list at least not a public one

I know the word 'ivory' will trigger it,even using the word to describe chinaware ,cloth

Yep definitely banned but that's a legal thing more than a just etsy thing

You should contact Etsy if they are willing to finetune its AI to accept 'item which prevent spying' and ban 'Item which spy' /

Eventually they will. Just takes time fir tweaks to be made to the AI

It's a waste of time - like talking to a brick wall. Tried to contact them before - if it doesn't make them money they ignore you. Considering closing the shop, nothing sells in this economy anyways except cheap crap.

You are asking them to make changes just for a rare item,they are not going to do it.
have your own website and you can do what you want

I can imagine, going through this crap on Mercari and Poshmark.

Wonder if all these platforms utilizing the same AI.

Oh I have websites, several of them - same old problem, they control the search results, so no traffic, no sales. They forward all the traffic to Etsy and egay, the system is rigged
