UPS Mailbox as address - Proof of address/ID Verification question
 

Hi friends. It's been a while, nice to see that the forum is still active :yar:

I'm attempting to open a shop in a family member's name and have some questions regarding the signup address.


1) Has there been success in using a previously banned address with small changes? example: 123 Boardwalk Loop NE to 123 Boardwalk LP Northeast


If not, I plan to open a UPS mailbox to use as the signup address.


2) Does the address on the photo ID need to match the signup address?

Etsy states:
What if my ID is from a different country than my taxpayer address?
"It’s okay if the address on your government-issued ID doesn’t match your taxpayer address. However, the name on your ID and your taxpayer address must match."

3) Does the signup address need to match the bank account's address?

4) How should I handle a proof of address request? Will having a bank statement mailed to the UPS box work?

not sure about the address,but your bank account name must match the name you sign up with Etsy.your Etsy shop name may differ.
Your driver license will have your name,address,DOB and photo

For 1), I don't think using a previously suspended address is worth the risk - go with the po box idea

I have done UPS address before, but also linked bank to that address, the problem you are going to run into is ID info.

Always the issue of ID check - need solid creativity and hope

UPS mail box would be my go to.

No address on ID doesn't have to match.
