etsy suspends accounts after the first sale for violations of their terms of use. Some have suggested that etsy is focusing more on closing UK accounts since brexit happend. This doesn't make sense to me and I am getting a lot of accounts closed after my very first sale.

Are they giving you more information on why they have closed the account?
You are right, it doesn't make any sense to want to close off business to the UK. It's a company, all they want is your money, anything that goes counter to that doesn't track.

No explenation. I appeal for all and got same answer every single time.

"After reviewing your account, I see that it was permanently suspended for violating Etsy’s Terms of Use, specifically due to account practices, behavior, or activity that does not follow our policies. Our policies help to keep Etsy special, unique, and safe.

Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we’ve determined that your account does not qualify for reinstatement."

There is hardly any sales on ETSY.

Reach out to them on Twitter, it works. Example @Etsy, my "store name" was suspended and the bot wont let me appeal please help. I followed the TOS and have read the seller handbook many times, My items are handmade by my wife and I, can someone help me please?

Etsy starts out as a place for handmade items,so it is very strict on 'handmade' items.
It must be made by you or someone employed by you/
If you tell us what were you trying to sell,some of us may be able to help

I self sold to myself my first item, did not get banned. Did it yesterday on a new account.

what happens when a new store is banned,does Ebay refund your store fee?
I recall Etsy charges $35 to open a store?

I paid a £14 set-up fee that I haven't received back yet for the shop that was suspended on the 9th of this month and I doubt that they will refund by default after the suspension. I will try to ask them and see what happens and keep you updated

What category of sales are you working in? Seems like you keeping getting accounts closed for selling same items...

This happened to me only once, but I appealed after first sale and was unbanned

Infortunatelly, this seems to be the practice for Etsy. Happened to me at least 5 times - suspension after first sale. All the times, after appeal, no reinstatment. Every single time, the products are under $50, are all made by me, the sell is a legitimate one - from a legitimate buyer that even asked me several things prior to purchasing.

2 times just after I made my account, even not making a seller account, suspensions again - however, if you write immediately after this, the account is reinstated stating that it has been a mistake.

And what is with all these SPAM messages you start receiving after opening your shop. Etsy system suspends accounts for no reason, however, it can't distinguish the real ones from the SPAM ones.
