USA Etsy Stealth Seller Account? possible in 2025?
 

Hello everyone,
I have been digging around on the forum attempting to see if it is possible to create or purchase a stealth Etsy seller account in 2025?

From what I’ve collected, due to the new verification process on Etsy it seems more difficult..is it even possible anymore? Are there any verified sellers or Etsy accounts?

welcome aboard.

First of all, REPORT all DM offering you any kind of sales, those are scams.

All account for sale are in the forum's "marketplace" , so check that.

opening one yourself is possible as I read some threads about it not too long ago.

Can you tell us what happened exactly and what you need to do?

I keep running into the issue of verifying the account. It requires a selfie with an ID card. I do not have any family or friends that would let me create an Etsy store using their details. Is there any other way?

I was selling vintage watches on Etsy, that were restored by me. They were advertised as restored using some original and aftermarket parts, which is what caused me to eventually get banned. It would be great if I could get back on Etsy, as I was making a good bit of money and 99% of my customers loved the product i was selling.

why did Etsy ban you for selling used watches?
Business is so slow on Etsy,some sellers would not survive,so they may be willing to sell their shops,you have to find a way to contact them discretely.

Due to using aftermarket parts for some of the replacement parts during restoration.
I thought this might be an option as well. Would i be able to switch the payment bank account to my own if i were to purchase a store from another Etsy seller?

Hmmmm..... I know etsy is tougher than eBay.

Considering you're selling restored watches, have you thought of doing eBay or even Facebook groups?

I think vintage watches will have better traction on eBay.

If she sells you her store,you will have to add your bank account ,name of bank account must agree with the name of the Etsy account owner.
Come to think of it,it wont work as how do you change the account owner name?
I think Sai JIn is right,Ebay is a better market to sell used watches.
Are you selling expensive mechanical watches?Some buyers expect you to use parts made for that brand.

Yes; mostly high end mechanical watches like Rolex and Omega, however, It was always disclosed if there was an aftermarket part used during the restoration. I’m afraid that will be the problem for eBay.

Not if you disclose you are using non Rolex parts.
But there are many ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Rolex for sale online,so be careful.

hello,Esty's 2025 verifications is more stringent which makes stealth accounts difficulat but not imposible having real information and tidy setups is a healthier longterm and more secure option buying accounts works shorterm but is risky and unreliable!

On Ebay,if a Rolex watch turns out to be counterfeit,not only is the listing removed but a lawyer representing Rolex will send you notice to pay a fine.
I do not know how effective is the letter?
Rolex Veros seem to be able to tell from pictures if they are counterfeits

when you talk about replacing parts,what parts are you replacing?
If you are nimble enough to replace movement parts of high end watches ,you can make a good living outside EBay.

I can disassemble, clean, and service a whole watch movement..just trying to get out of this crap 9-5 job I’m working. Was making a 6 figure income prior to Etsy banning me. Now, not so much.

You can also create an LLC and your own business and advertise that in facebook groups.

You'll be surprised how watchmakers are wanted nowadays.

Yes, it's still possible to create new Etsy accounts in 2025. If you want to avoid linking your personal bank account, I recommend choosing a country that supports Payoneer withdrawals during registration. This makes the whole process much easier.

Also, if you register with Payoneer, Etsy usually doesn’t ask for a selfie as part of the verification, at least for now, that’s been my experience.

I'd say Etsy is harder than egay at this point regarding stealth - I have five different Etsy shops for several years and they restrict based on volume now, so they are very iffy

To be honest, it’s hard to say exactly why your Etsy setups keep getting banned, there just isn’t enough detail.

have you tried contacting etsy support, did you ask them to reinstate your account,
sometime they suspend the account for verification purpose, i had got my shop suspended for some time, but someone told me to ask etsy to re-open the account, i made an appeal submit it and it's opened.
i am selling digital products, i dont know about the physical product how does it work.

I buy Ukrainian SIM cards on eBay, it’s pretty easy to find them there.

To create a Ukrainian Etsy account, you’ll also need a Ukrainian Payoneer account.
A U.S. Payoneer account won’t work, since Etsy requires the country of your Payoneer and Etsy accounts to match.

That’s fair. I have seen some sellers on here make write ups about how they’re creating the same accounts they’re selling which i feel is transparent.

And your eagerness to send PMs to members on here will likely ensure that will never happen. You'll get caught selling accounts via PM and banned long before you gain enough trust to be given a seller thread.
