BANNED FROM ETSY... Is LLC route safe? Or do I need to do more?
 

Hi. So a while back i was banned from etsy That was back in like October 2022

Today is Sept 2025.
I bought:
new laptop
new phone + new phone service (will be using mobile data)
new address
new name and name of business
new products/pics & description of products

Cool Even have an llc and ein now but I just want to be sure sure sure that I'm understanding. Will they still ask for MY ID, MY SOCIAL, MY info AFTER giving the llc stuff??? If so doens't that defeats the purpose.

I know to sell like a mid range product 10-20 tmes that only costs around 20-40 bucks and stuff like that but i really don't want to invest all this into making an account and I slip up and get banned because of tax reasons.

also how long should i wait inbetween making account and trying to post an item on account for sale?!?!

Really need help plz guys.

I'm currently trying to work out how long exactly Etsy can keep Data relating to banned users I have a funny feeling some parts of that data will get deleted after a period of time due to privacy laws

that is why they are now using a 3rd party to verify identities

Wether 3 years is enough I don't know but I think if you have changed the IP , address bank details and everything else you should be ok

3 months is the average assessment periods for new accounts if you pass that and get the payment reserve lifted you should be good to go

Are you still online with your Etsy account?

I assume when you say "new name and name of business" you have a registered business name and you used another person's name instead of yours (eg relative etc) because I don't know how you can run under your name even after 3 years from what I read it's impossible without changing your name as well.

Also, I assume you have asked Etsy to delete your account completely and the 3 years would be counting from the day when the account was confirmed deleted or whatever the date they say it will be.
