New Etsy account on different name (EU)
 

Hi,

my original etsy account of 2+ years unfortunately got terminated :(
i've seen many threads about creating new accounts but most are for people based in the US, but i am based in the Netherlands. I thought about creating a new account with my Brothers ID but had some questions:

Can i create an account with my brothers details, but use my own taxpayer ID so that there are no tax implications for him (i can get a new taxpayer iID requested, so its different from the one i used on my old account).

or is there an maybe alternative method that does not require my brothers ID?

They have different rules for Each country the European Union has extremely strict Ecommerce taxation rules

Etsy goes to very extreme lengths to keep users banned you all need to research the requirements heavily

yeah i agree, but do you think there is a way to create etsy accounts using friends/family's ID's, but have the tax be applied to me?

also what is the check that is done when connecting a bank account, does it need to match the ID name of the account, or is there a way around it?

Dont know about your country,but at least in USA,name of your bank account must match your name you registered your Etsy account.

i dont think that this is the case for all eu countries, if i remember correctly from my first account they send you a specific amount of euro's, and you have to report back that specific amount to etsy. dont think they can legally verify your bank account name in the eu.

Or does someone have experience with eu accounts that knows more?

when they withdraw that amount they sent you,they will see the account owner name,in US, dunno about other countries.
You can go to Etsy collumn and ask as well

I doubt they can but using a 3rd parties identity in the EU could cause a lot of problems later down the line especially if you have a disagreement with that person

you will likely need to allocate them a % of the profit on the account to keep them happy , with Etsy's fees as high as they are you will need to have a very very big profit margin.

Mismatch bank accounts are fine for Etsy NL. 100% sure.
