Anyone here running a good Etsy store?
 

Anyone who is selling and getting decent results on Etsy willing to share experience and a bit of knowledge?

I used to date a girl who happened to be selling PDFs and downloadable recipes on there and was doing quite alright.

Anyone on here currently doing good on Etsy?
I see people are selling Etsy accounts too so that speaks for itself really...

Yes I have about five stores, blows away egay for sure. I believe it is due to how their product appear better in Google search. Mostly sell automotive accessories

Do you sell any digital goods or just strictly tangible goods?
Also, do you use a supplier to send to the customer directly or you keep an inventory?

Its profitable not as profitable as it was a few years ago because its been flooded with idiots offering a poor shopping experience

Print on demand for example was good on it for a few years but go absolutely flooded with amateurs racing the price to the bottom on every single niche

Digital is now going the same way

If you find a winning system nobody in their right mind is going to share it these days because of the sheer volume of people that will copy and reproduce it poorly thus ruining it

What about those people buying clothing and accessories from DHgate and alibaba and reselling them on etsy?

Not sustainable unless its white goods which need to be marketed very well , Branded stuff will get banned very quickly now

Again anything with a low barrier to entry gets ruined by idiots who think drop shipping / e-commerce is easy money and overnight riches

the masses flood in get sloppy and then the platforms either start clamping down or theres no margin left.

Yes is very hard now, will get a few sales one week, then none the next and everyone wanting to return stuff. Goes back and forth. Been this way since the COVID crap...

I think it has to do with what he sells,automobile accessories !
American middle class is tapped out,even among non discretionary items,there are some which are more non discretionary eg bread vs cake,beer vs wine,ground beef vs pot roast,
cat fish vs cod fish etc.
of course if you were Marie Antoinette,you would prefer to eat cake than bread.

Speaking from experience:
Been selling for almost 4 years now and I have gone through a lot of ups and downs.

It was easier to get the sales 3 years ago, but at the same time Etsy was stricter and unpredictable. Also, it was harder to open multiple accounts.

However, now you have more competition, but you can scale and sell a lot of items with the help of AI and right knowledge. If you have a good system in place, then it's pretty easy to do.

I know an Ebay seller who also sells on Etsy,she will copy the pictures from Aliexpress ,not clothese buy scarves and rings for bikers.
You can try some dresses,the pictures look great,but quality may not.

The A.I can auto detect images that are on other platforms now re using images is a very fast way to get the account permanently banned under creativity standards
