I'm not seeing him listed as an approved seller in the marketplace..........

Problem is even after passing Persona , Etsy bots and human staff are so unpredictable they can and will issue permanent suspensions with zero warning

If you get problematic customer or competitor and etsy doesn't like the look of your account you're finished.

If the account has a payment reserve you will likely never see them funds again which makes doing volume or high value selling on an account very very risky

I have probably gone through 15-20 etsy accounts in the last 4 years , I made my first 50K through them but theres just too much ducking and diving required now and it's just not sustainable unfortunatley.

So there is another Live verification after the first initial one where you submit your ID and selfie when opening your seller account?

Yes, they recently implemented it.
Usually, it's for older stores (1+ year old) and they check your seller info - name, surname, DOB and you need to take same verification as creating account.

Earlier this year, I tried a visual verification method that didn't require a real person's presence. At first, I could pass the check perfectly on the first attempt; however, when I later used this method to open a store, it was rejected every single time without exception—it seemed like the system was detecting it.
